An excellent Queen Anne period walnut veneered bureau. A transitional piece made in two parts, retaining its original locks and penny ring handles, and raised on bun feet. Circa 1705. Bureaus saw a decline in fashion during the eighties and nineties, their angled fall unable to enclose large computers. With the advent of portable laptops and ipads, these pieces of furniture remain excellent value for money and extremely useful and compact objects.
