Antique micromosaic earrings from Italy. The spherical micromosaics represent ornaments and flowers in pink, turquoise, and white. The micromosaics are mounted in a gilded metal frame. Antique Etruscan-style micro mosaic locket with blue flowers and grapes on a white background. The rim is decorated with ornaments. The micromosaicis in excellent condition, with a few tiny tesserae missing on the left side. The micromosaicis enclosed in a silver locket (acid tested) with a glazed section that may be opened. The micro mosaic locket is attached to a lapis lazuli bead necklace. The royal blue lapis lazuli beads are graduated in diameter, ranging from 10 mm to 3 mm. The lapis lazuli beads are adorned with gilded silver spacers. The necklace closes with a gilded silver spring ring. The micromosaicpendant dates from the nineteenth century, while the lapis lazuli bead necklace is from a later period.
