Antique Russian travelling Icon, 19th century
Four cast bronze panels adorned with enamel make up this antique Russian travel icon. Traveling icons were transported for protection and adoration. The icon portrays scenes from the Gospel and is really well-crafted. The Golgotha cross is shown on the outside of the icon, with Jerusalem in the background. The traveling icon is large and in excellent shape. The 19th century is the date of its creation.

This antique triptych features a print of the Madonna of the Inclined Head that was influenced by a 16th-century artwork. This exquisite monastic piece is of the highest caliber and level of craftsmanship. A halo of garnet flowers and gold and silver embellishments surrounds the Holy Virgin. The Ave Maria is shown on the left and right wings in Gothic font with gold leaf c-scrolls. Encased in a leather frame embellished with gold leaf embellishments, the three panels are protected by glazing. The triptych dates to the 19th century and is in superb shape. Height : 11.02 inches ( 280 mm) Width : 12.2 inches ( 310 mm)

Antique Russian Icon depicting various images of the Holy Virgin such as the „Holy Mary of Pay Attention to Humility", the „Mother of God of Unexpected Joy“ and „The Holy Mother of the Sign“. The Cross of Golgatha with the crucified Christ is in the center with the scull of Adam beneath and God Allmighty above. This very rare and museum quality Icon is of excellent quality and detail. The whole background is covered with gold leaf. The Icon is in perfect condition and dated at the 19th century.

"Strada certa per salvarsi" (the safe way to your salvation) is the title of this antique Italian prayer book. The blue velvet that covers the book shows the aging symptoms. The cover is adorned with a lovely net of gilt metal and a beautiful closure. There are five holy cards and lovely images of the Passion of Christ within. The binding is in excellent condition. The 19th century is the date of this exquisite Italian prayer book. Length: 5.1 inches (130 mm) Width: 3.1 (80 mm)

The Oklad is of museum quality and of finest craftmanship. It is made of gilt silver , hallmarked with the Moscow silver hallmark 1845 and has the maker´s mark W.K. for Wasilij Anisimow Kowalewskij who was a well known silver smith in Moscow and was the owner of a renowned silver manufactory. The oklad can be removed and shows the painted Icon crafted tempera on wood. The Icon is set in its original glazed wooden case
