Depth minimum: 15 ¾” I really like the mounting system. The bracket goes into two studs and it’s easy to find them because the bracket has holes all along the back. Also, no need to remove the baseboards either! The drawers themselves are made of metal, which is different from many other cabinet drawers, which are usually MDF. But they snap together so quickly! The icing on the cake with this IKEA system is that it was really easy to assemble by myself. No need to trouble any reluctant assistants for this build! The limitations to IKEA AURDAL: - You can’t add all the custom organizers that you’ve seen in IKEA PAX like the jewelry organizers, pant pull out rack or shoe drawers. - If you want your closet to look like a high end custom closet, you can hack the IKEA PAX, but it wouldn’t be possible with IKEA AURDAL.
