Three Dog Night is an American rock band, best known for their music recorded between 1968 and 1975. They formed in 1968 with a line-up consisting of Danny Hutton, Cory Wells and Chuck Negron. The three lead singers were backed by Jimmy Greenspoon (organ), Joe Schermie (bass), Mike Allsup (guitar) and Floyd Sneed (drums). Three Dog Night earned 13 gold albums and recorded 21 consecutive Billboard Top 40 hits.
Cory, Danny, Chuck..Their first Top Ten hit was "One", in 1969, while, "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)", reached #1 a year later. "Joy to the World" became the group's biggest hit in 1971, and their final #1, "Black and White," was in 1972; and, their final Top Ten song was in 1974, "The Show Must Go On".
