I did a combination of sanding and using a chemical stripper. Up next is 2 part bleach. Follow the directions, wear gloves and after 24 hours wipe down with 1:1 water and vinegar combo. You might be tempted to go ahead and topcoat but let me tell you, your piece will turn yellow. Third step is using a paint wash. I like to water down my paint significantly and if needed I do multiple coats. Last step is applying water based topcoat! What questions do you have?
