Sankthans pattern by Lanja Khon-Engheim
This scarf is meant to evoke the billowing smoke from the bonfires of Sankthans, the Norwegian midsummer festival that is celebrated on 23-24 June. It was designed to show off your knitting abilities with cables, lace, and nupps all in one scarf. The motifs are charted only. Links to two different techniques to knit nupps are included in the pattern. The sample scarf was knitted in a heavy laceweight yarn, approximately 660 m/100 g.
