Robert Edward Lee was born on January 19, 1807, in Montross, Virginia, the child of Henry"Lighthorse" and Anne Hill. He married his first wife on June 30, 1831. On July 5, 1831, he married his second wife in Arlington, Virginia. He died on October 12, 1870, in Arlington, Virginia, at the age of 63.
