Olive green kitchen shelf with pink and red roses, country cottage kitchen decor, primitive crate box shelf

Listing for 1 item : This olive green country cottage kitchen shelf was created using a vintage, primitive green crate, a section of vintage tablecloth fabric, and vintage crochet edging. I found this old crate in one of my favorite antique hunting spots. I was drawn to the olive/hunter green color, and the slightly primitive painted finish. I wanted to keep the vintage look so I kept the crate in it's unperfect state, and embellished it with some pretty, cotton fabric from a vintage tablecloth. The crate measures 15.5" long, 8.5" wide, and 3.75" deep. The crate is sturdy, and weighs about 2 pounds. I added two D clips on the back for wall décor. The triangle rose fabric piece is permanently attached to the back. The fabric features roses in shades of pink and red, a few light blue flowers, and leaves in shades of olive/hunter green. The fabric piece is lined and also shows crochet edging from a vintage table runner that I added for extra detail. There is one spot of the edging that shows some damage in the thread work ( see pictures ) but it only adds to the character of this piece. This crate shelf could be used as a counter top shelf. It is just the right size for a vintage creamer or salt shaker collection in your country cottage or farmhouse kitchen.
