Each piece has its own unique design and this one is no different. Each one slips on easily and closes in the back with velcro. As much as I love wrapping my hair, sometimes I'm just not in the mood and other times I don't want to risk not getting my wrap exactly the way I want it to be if I know that my time will be limited before we leave for the event. This piece could be worn with or without a shaper underneath and it accommodates a variety of volume sizes. The fabric is lightweight and feels extremely comfortable when worn. If you know what your head circumference (going around your hairline from your forehead to the nape of your neck and back around the other way) is, add about 1/2 an inch to accommodate for the fabric/velvet from the shaper. It's okay if your measurement is a little bit smaller/larger than what is listed, the measurements are meant to be used as a guide. Note #1: The "average" one measures approximately 23 inches at rest when fully closed. The "average/large" one measures approximately 24 inches at rest when fully closed. Note #2: The fabric of this one has some stretch to it. The photos on the mannequin head are an accurate representation of the piece that you will receive.
