This sort of watch bothers the heck out of me. I know that Raketa in particular makes lots of commemorative watches, but I find it hard to believe that patriotic Russians would be happy with this one commemorating a Nazi aeroplane. There are a lot of these for sale on eBay though; I hope they're not legit Raketas.
I think I might have pinned one like this before...
Lovely Jump Hour watch. Is that wood inlaid on the strap?
Cool vintage USSR flight watch
Clean face, spiragraph style Raketa watch. Very nice. Passed in at £50 at http://r.ebay.com/JIQ1Wu
A very very tidy perpetual calendar Raketa, also New Old Stock (it comes with an authentic looking box... who knows). £149 at the moment at http://r.ebay.com/jOYJzM - this is a frankly astronomical price given how cheaply these were going a couple years ago. Lovely though.
#watch What a beautiful, classic Heuer.
Once again, a little too chunky for me... but a lovely red dialed auto with some interesting details. US $302
This Raketa has classic slim hands, and a large and an interesting, slightly exotic-looking numeral typeface, both of which I've seen once or twice before. It would be great to track down this typeface!
Love the numbers, and the linen-finish face. Sold for US $33 here: http://r.ebay.com/7wOq34
