Platinum diamond and emerald brooch of a shrine. The architecture, which is entirely carried out in diamonds of various cuts - circular, emerald, baton - culminating in the trapezoid shaped stones at the apex of the roof, encloses a carved emerald Buddhist divinity raised up on steps. C.1927.
Gold, diamond, ruby and emerald miniature bracelet, the flexible band with centrepiece enclosing a portrait of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) wearing tiara on her head, earrings and pearls, flowers in her hair, facing three quarters front, within a diamond frame interspersed with four emeralds and four rubies. The back is inscribed MEINE THEUREN NICHTE STEFANIE VON VICTORIA RAM (9TEN MAI 1858) (MY DEAR NIECE STEPHANIE FROM VICTORIA R. (9 MAY 1858)). English.
I absolutely adore this locket. I love anything with a leaf detail from the Victorian / Art Nouveau era. I believe this to be earlier 1900's, but I'm not totally sure. The seller could not open it so when I received it I took a pin and "forced" it open and there was two lovely pictures from the later 1800's. One was a man that looked like Santa!
