人気の観光地ゴンピン（Ngong Ping/昴坪）。空港周辺で人気のスポットにゴンピンというエリアがあります。ゴンピンには世界最大級の野外大仏「天壇大仏」があったり、香港一のパワースポット「ハートスートラ（心経簡林）」があるので、週末は大変賑わっています。 東涌駅からロープウェイ（ゴンピン360）に乗る必要がありますが、このロープウェイが大人気。下が透けるタイプのものがあるので迫力満点です。
