Krueger Scott Mansion, Newark, NJ. The house was built by one of Newark's early beer barons and later owned by a wealthy African American business woman. The place was supposed to become a museum. It turned into a money pit. More than $6 million was spent some years ago to robe it in custom made bricks and top it with a fancy roof. Inside it's a wreck. The basement is a swamp. The once grand rooms were vandalized for the marble and woodwork and much of it was ruined by weather.
