This project based learning task asks students to document life on a homestead on the prairies during Alberta's early years. Students will have to explore Alberta's geography, learn about the homestead system, learn about the relationships between the colonists and the Indigenous People, research how people survived the harsh winters on the prairies and discover what daily life was like for the settlers. Students will need to create a map, visual representation and a written report. Come look!
