King Ludwig II of Bavaria - Ludwig II was born 25 August 1845 in Schloss Nymphenburg. He was King of Bavaria 1864–1886. It was on June 12, 1886 the King was declared insane & taken away from his favorite castle by a commission from Munich. Ludwig II was interned in Berg Palace. The next day he died in mysterious circumstances in Lake Starnberg, together with the psychiatrist who had certified him as insane.
