Lost in Space - TV show Lost in Space is a 1960s American science fiction adventure television series created and produced by Irwin Allen, and filmed by 20th Century Fox Television. It was the second of Irwin Allen's four science fiction television series and the second longest running. The show's premise is a futuristic take on the novel The Swiss Family Robinson, about a family shipwrecked far from home. The show focused on fantastic outer space adventure.
The aptly named "Robot B9" on the classic TV series Lost in Space was very important not just because he was constantly warning of danger, but also because he was one of the first to be IN a television series. Not to mention that he was voiced by the venerable Dick Tufeld.
