People are getting increasingly vocal about green productts, demanding more and they are willing to pay more for these products. As people's demands are answered, companies are stepping up to change their business practices and keep up with consumers wants.
When consumers think green, sustainability is an issue that most welcome and strive for. However, when companies abuse that, consumers are misled by their marketing tactics — or ‘Greenwashed’. This infographic illustrates 7 common ways that companies ‘greenwash’ and how consumers can avoid those traps.
This infographic was my final project for the Sustainability Leadership and Implementation Certificate program at DU. My goal was to effectively communicate the meaning and potential business incentives of sustainability to the everyday business person.
