This is a Thoroughbred Horse. You'll see these dashing beasts commonly on the race track! Why TB's in particular? These horses are the world's fastest breed! All modern Thoroughbreds can trace their pedigrees to three stallions ( the Byerley Turk, the Darley Arabian, and the Godolphin Arabian ) imported to England in the 17th century and a wide variety of foundation mares. The first TB in America was a young stallion named Bulle Rock in 1730.

RIP...Montjeu, a top-class racehorse who became a spectacularly successful sire, has died at Coolmore Stud in Ireland, one week short of what would have been his 16th birthday. He had suffered what a stud spokesman described as "overwhelming septicaemia" and could not recover from the resulting complications.

Lammtarra. Here is another ND grand son sired by Nijinsky who would win the Epsom Derby. Lammtarra was also undefeated in a brief four race career. He would add the prestigious King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes as well as The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe to his impressive racing resume. His dam is Snow Bride by Blushing Groom and he descends from a rich family of major stakes winners founded by the great Windfields broodmare Queen's Statute.
