On the last day, a Ganesha idol is carried through the streets in a procession to be immersed in a river or the sea in a ritual send-off on his in his journey towards his abode in Kailash taking with him all the misfortunes of man.
This festival is held on the Sunday closest to September 23 at Akiba Shrine (on the grounds of Chiryu Shrine). Events of fireworks or tube fireworks that boast the beauty of Japanese tradition represent the Akiba Festival.
