The first stewardess in Canadian airline history was Lucile Garner Grant (right) who joined Trans Canada Airlines on July 1, 1938. On top of her traditional duties Mrs. Grant also designed the stewardess uniforms, monitored weather patterns, and planned the menu for transcontinental flights.
