El camino de Santiago de Compostela is the crown jewel of Spanish walking trails. The pilgimage began as an act of faith as Europeans crossed Spain to visit the sacred tomb of Saint James. A 1,000 years later, pilgrims and travelers are still drawn to the journey.

KYLEMORE BENEDICTINE ABBEY, Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. Originally built as a castle residence, it was designed by James Franklin Fuller & Ussher Roberts. Construction first began in 1867, and took one hundred men four years to complete. The castle covers approximately 40,000 square feet (3,700 m2) with over 70 rooms and the principal wall is two to three feet thick.
