The Fieseler Fi 103 (better known as the Vergeltungswaffe 1 (“retaliation weapon”), or simply, the V-1, was what would today be considered a cruise missile. It was designed and built by the Gerhard Fieseler Werke GmbH. Construction of the missiles was very simple and it was mass produced at a rate of about 8,000 per month. The V-1 is an unmanned mid-wing monoplane.

The German Aggregat-4 rocket is better known by the name V-2, short for Vergeltungswaffe (Retaliation Weapon) 2. Deployed in the last year of World War II, it was the world's first long-range ballistic missile and the first human-made object to travel into space.
Here Hitler is seen with 16 years old (he looks younger) Willi Huebner who was awarded the Iron Cross, Second Class, for his services in the recapture of Lauban in March 1945. The boy was a messenger and distinguished himself with his service.
