Here is my latest caricature, a P-51 racer. This highly modified Mustang featured a removed belly scoop and a radical weight reduction program to make it the sleekest and lightest Mustang flying at the time. She won the Reno National Championship Air Races in 1984 with pilot Skip Holm at the controls. She continued to compete for several years and has changed hands a few times. My understanding is she has been returned to stock P-51 configuration.
