The Duke, his wife Duchess Cecilie, their 2 sons, Ludwig & Alexander, 3rd son unnamed born & died at accident site & Georg Donatus' mother Eleonore were killed in a plane crash 2 days earlier. His daughter Johanna was not on the plane & survived. His father, Grand Duke Louis is center as chief mourner, along with Cecilie's brother Prince Philip UK & their uncle Lord Louis Mountbatten.

Her son supported Anderson's claim and argued with his Mother who insisted that while she was similar she simply wasn't her niece.
