Старинное нижнее женское белье. Начало ХХ века
Beaded satin/lace wedding dress, c.1912. The long lean lines and empire waist are in the Directoire style; while the elaborate beading, draped lace, hobbled asymmetric skirt, and fishtail train are early 20th century innovations. Loops of sparkling crystal beads complete the inspired ornamentation.
Edwardian wedding gown, ca. 1914. Silk grosgrain & lace, lined w/cotton & trimmed w/pearls. Gown is "an intriguing example of the transition from the tightly corseted construction of the Edwardian era to a softer, more free-flowing style of dress. It is sewn with all of the internal detail for extensive boning but without the actual stiffening itself." Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, Dunedin, NZ, via eHive
