Innsbruck, Austria: is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol (Tirol). It is located in the Inn Valley about halfway between Munich (Germany) and Verona (Italy). A renowned winter sports center, it hosted the 1964, 1976 and 1984 Winter Olympics. I arrived in Fall 1976 from Salzburg. I was greeted by an elderly lady offering rooms for rent as I stepped off the train. I followed her home and met other Americans, had home cooking and my clothes washed. We all even went disco dancing.
