Bone cancer. MRI scan of the legs of a 46 year old woman with a chondrosarcoma (orange) in her left femur. Chondrosarcomas are rare malignant tumours found in the cartilage within or on the surface of bones.

Confocal micrograph of mouse embryos at different stages of division from the one-cell to two-cell stage. The green fluorescence shows the microtubules which support the structure of the cell and form a spindle during division of the nucleus. The red stain indicates chromatin in the nucleus which contains the genetic information. The embryos each measure about 0.1 mm in diameter.
