Piet Hein Eek had this very creative design idea for one of their client’s foyer wall. They simply covered it with a bunch of old doors, cut and arranged to fit together like puzzle pieces that fill the entire wall. Some of them look worn, others look newer, some are plain, some have patterns. This quirky, rustic melange looks so great against the modern staircase.
Here, the concept of a feature wall is taken to a whole new level, with something that could be straight out of Alice and Wonderland. The brains behind this installation of reclaimed doors is Piet Hein Eek who has years of experience making furniture out of scrap materials.
