1954 - Audrey Hepburn lead the trend for couture at the Oscars with her Hubert de Givenchy-designed gown. This occasion, when she won the Oscar for Roman Holiday at the 26th Annual Academy Awards, was the first time that Hepburn was seen in Givenchy; the couturier remained her style-maker for the rest of her life.

Audrey Hepburn- She put the LBD on the map, as well as those cute pencil pant, AKA 'skinny' that I love to wear throughout the spring and summer. She loved anything by Givenchy, but her style's is actually quite simplistic- black and white is best. So, those skinny black pants, ballet flats, and white oxfords (tied at the waist, of course) , pearls, and over-sized sunglasses.
