Inglourious Basterds (2009) In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. Army of Crime (2009) was directed by Robert Guediguian, about the resistance efforts of French Algerians during Nazi-occupied Paris, led by a poet and Armenian exile named Missak Manouchian. You watch this movie, and Inglourious Basterds will seem like a bunch of Ken dolls and GI Joes. A lot of brave characters portrayed in this story.
