Charioteer tank. While the British Army was replacing its tank force with the impressive Centurion, it was recognised that the surplus tanks from WW2 used by the army reserves were no match for the new Soviet tanks. The decision was taken to upgrade some Cromwells with the 20 ponder gun.
Volvo M/1942 Tank ( original caption). Stridsvagn m/42 (Strv m/42) was the first Swedish tank to have a 75 mm gun. It was known as Lago II-III-IV by AB Landsverk. It first entered service with the Swedish army in November 1941 and was designated the Stridsvagn m/42. It was a fully modern tank for its time. It was armed with a 75 mm L/34 gun and four m/39 8mm machine guns. It was also well protected and mobile.
