The BOXED SQUARES quilt block is based on a 7 x 7 grid making it "technically" a seven patch design. But, by constructing this block as an uneven nine patch, it goes together quickly and easily. Simple patches like squares, rectangles and some flying geese are all that is required to make this striking block.
