The Textile Blog: The Art Nouveau Styling of Rene Beauclair

One of the French designers who produced a number of the very first pattern books across the turn of the century was that of Rene Beauclair. In 1900 he published Dessins d'Ornementation Plane en Couleurs. Interestingly it was produced simultaneously in both French and German giving some impression of the international flavour that Art Nouveau enjoyed.
