In the media area, Domus Design Collection’s DC-5 sofa anchors the conversation area, while two of Poul Kjaerholm’s classic PK-22 chairs purchased at auction face the spectacular view. The coffee table is custom. Robert Motherwell’s Open Study #9, 1968, adds a vibrant note of red. The seams of the stone floors line up perfectly with the building’s structural skeleton, while a delicate reveal below the ceiling line adds an architectural grace note.
Anchoring the living room core are back-to-back sofas from Flexform atop a custom rug from Tufenkian; Clodagh designed the pattern to offset the angle of the window wall. The mirror-image seating arrangements with muscular, low-maintenance coffee tables welcome large parties and small (think black tie to Sunday night football). A gutsy floor lamp from Ralph Pucci adds spirit.
Such a cool design: Paul kjaerholm PK0 Somebody said that this work has a spooky atmosphere...
