Princess Zenaida Yusupova wears a gown in the fashion of the 17th centurу at the famous 1903 ball at the Winter Palace. This event would be one of the last great entertainments given by the Tsars before war and revolution ended their rule forever.
Evening gown ca. 1900s. Silk. Scoop neck trimmed with lace & beading around collar. Lace cascades down left side. Beading down left side & across lower waistline that leads to 2 panels in back with detailed beading. Front is 24" higher than back. Sleeves are 3/4 length & slightly gathered with lace at cuffs.
