Platinum & gold bowknot stomacher brooch, the ribbons in two loops each divided into a line of diamonds edged with sparks, & lines of stylised laurel meeting at a centre octagonal sapphire surmounted by three pear shaped diamonds, & with laurel leaves terminating in three pear shaped diamonds on each side of the festoon below, & terminating in a laurel wreath with one sapphire within & another at the base, & two pear shaped diamond drops to each side.

A favourite theme of classical and Renaissance art, it is here applied to the back plate imitating the designs of Daniel Mignot, circa 1590.
