Lance Armstrong Foundation, Austin, TX by Lake | Flato Architects. The headquarters for the foundation was established in a renovated '50s warehouse that was transformed into a multifunctional office space. For the new design, 88% of the material from the original building was recycled and used, while the roof's center bays were replaced with north-facing windows to harvest daylight. No toxic chemicals were used in or around the building, which earned a gold certification from LEED.
