Sometimes the Winter of Life strands us on an icy lake. All we can do is ride out the storms and wait for the weather to warm.
bike in winter. I like the beautiful sight of snow but don't really miss it. ;)
The firefly squids glowing along the coast of Toyama Bay, Japan. ☆Tho it's in fact unpredictable and can't be 100% guaranteed, the conditions of this phenomenon likely to occur (according to locals) are as follows: During midnight to dawn from Feb thru June, a day before and after the new moon in which the sea is calm with no wind or waves, and moreover, it must be a dark moonless night. What you can do is check the waxing & wanning schedules of the moon, predict wave conditions, then pray for luck! ＊＊＊The phenomenon can be seen widely along the coast of Toyama Bay, but the recommended access is from the JR Namerikawa Station (10 min. on foot to the coast), for the reason of it being the center of firefly squid fishing & that there's a Hotaruika Museum (Firefly Squid Museum) close by. ★I'm afraid only 7 lines or so of this would be copied when repinned, & it's the reason why I bring the important key words at the very top in bilingual. (>_<)

A walk across a floating boat bridge on the Buriganga river in Dhaka. Water hyacinth has hampered the movement of boats on the river so boats are tied together to form a temporary bridge. (by Munir Uz Zaman)
