" I rolled some Sculpey ultralight into sausage shapes cut them lengthwise and wrapped them round an empty beer can. I smoothed them by hand and when they were baked I used a coarse sand paper to get them into shape (80 grit - they sand very easily). I then used them as bases for cane veneers. They seem to be quite sturdy. "
Julie Picarello's Painted metal donut discs. handmade earwires add a bit of sophistication to these earrings. The base polymer is cured and sanded prior to adding the top layer of clay that anchors the earwires. A bit time-consuming, but so much fun!
