Yuko Moriguchi from Confessions (2010) | She starts as a very low-key teacher but then turns into one bad bitch. I mean it, as a compliment. Her story couldn’t be more unfortunate: her fiancé learns that he has contracted HIV which lead them to call off their wedding. Later on, her daughter Manami is a victim of a really vile crime. As you might have guessed, she went a little bit crazy after this...
The Remaining (2014) There are horror movie posters that are creepy and there are ones that are beautiful. This one manages to be both with its eerie swirling vortex of demonic creatures being sucked into the gaping maw of some horrifying spirit.

Amy Elliott Dunne from Gone Girl (2014) is unapologetic, driven, a master manipulator and a perfectionist. She’s smart and will use everything in her advantage to get what she wants. Having said that, she’s not crazy, she’s crafty.
Ex-Machina (2015) | “Ex-Machina” tells the story of Caleb, a computer programmer selected among his peers to visit Nathan, CEO of the world’s most popular search engine. For a sci-fi film, “Ex-Machina” doesn’t have a lot of action scenes or special effects as one would expect and I’m not saying it as a negative point. Actually, I thought the film was pretty engaging without all the fancy stuff. What did I love about the film? The characters. They are complex and deceiving.
Gone Girl (2014) | The film is an adaptation from Gillian Flynn’s 2012 best-seller and David Fincher was the chosen director to bring the story into the silver screen. The premise of the film is quite simple: “Wife disappears, Husband becomes the main suspect”. The main focus of the story is the relationship between Amy Elliott Dunne and Nick Dunne. As they say, there are three sides to every story, in this case: his side, her side and the truth.
