1969 Chaparral 2H In practice, it simply didn't work. Driver John Surtees couldn't see well enough to do his job so the top was opened up for a more conventional seating position. Larger and larger spoilers were tried to bring the car up to a competitive pace but to no avail. Development was abandoned toward the end of the season and the 2H ended it's career against the wall at Texas Motor Speedway in the hands of privateer Tom Dutton. Flickr - Photo Sharing!
