In the spring the puffins starts arriving in Iceland, where the world's largest population of them stay, feed and breed over summer in Iceland. They are adorable, and easy to catch a glimpse of, when you visit Iceland on vacation. Here they are at Grassy Cliffs overlooking the Sea, perhaps at Látrabjarg or in the country side close to shore. Iceland is perfect for birdwatching!
Mauritius Fody. A rare species of the weaver family and is found on the island of Mauritius. It's classified as endangered by BirdLife International and is on the United States Endangered species list.
Fiery-throated Hummingbird - There are about 338 different species of hummingbirds. There are few other birds that rival the spectacular iridescence of the Fiery-throated Hummingbird. Found only in the cloud forest of Costa Rica and western Panama.
