Evening dress, Worth, circa 1880s. Two-piece sapphire blue silk satin. Boned bodice covered in black tulle studded with beads and sequins. Short puffed sleeves, ruched and pleated waistband. Skirt has studded front insert flanked by beaded border with Van Dyke points. Matching decoration at tulle hem band. Taffeta underskirt with pleated net and lace hem ruffle. Via Whitaker Auctions.
