Kumu Hula Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu teaches the essence of Hawaiian history and customs through choreography of hula and mele (chants in the Hawaiian language). Kumu Hula Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu, founded the Academy of Hawaiian Arts in 2003. Along with his fresh approach to hula, Kumu Ho'omalu envisioned a structured environment to advance new expressions of Hawaiian arts, music, and language.
