Raw oysters - they are like backward loogies. Can't do 'em.

RECIPE: Lobster Hotpot - This Menorcan specialty can be found all over the Balearic Islands. The spiny lobster, queen of the local seas, was once considered poor food (like in Maine), which only the fishermen would eat. Starts w/ a 'sofrito' of fried onion, pepper & tomatoes & ends w/ a paste of almonds, garlic & parsley to thicken the sauce. Serve w/ country bread or baguette to dunk, spoons, skewers (so people can extract the meat from the claws & legs) & finger bowls w/ water.
