Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia (Maria Nikolaevna Romanova) (June 1899 – July 1918) was the 3rd daughter of the last autocratic ruler of the Russian Empire, Emperor Nicholas II, and of Empress Alexandra of Russia. Contrary to popular belief, it was Maria's body that was missing among the rest of her family after they were murdered in 1918, not that of Anastasia.
