Karl Grimm’s copper thread is very much like wire, but much more flexible and it doesn’t quite look like wire. People don't seem to have much luck using it as the bobbin thread, but you can sew in place using regular thread to sew a zigzag stitch on top of it. Hard to say if the benefits of being able to solder with it would make it a better choice over the varieties of conductive thread.
