Chest for the baby clothes of the Dauphin, son of Louis XVI, on the occasion of his birth, October 22, 1781 . Externally and internally lined with white taffeta on which are painted allegories, mythological subjects, pastoral and popular festivities scenes. The figures of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette crowned by Cupids painted on the lid. The edges of the chest are filled with light garlands of artificial flowers made of fabric (via Réunion des musées nationaux)
