Wasanbon sweets, Baikodo Inc, Hiketa, Kagawa Pref, Japan, February 2, 2012. Wasanbon is a special kind of hand-made Japanese sugar often used for traditional sweets. It is finer, more fragrant and more expensive than normal sugar. It is a specialty of Kagawa Prefecture on the island of Shikoku. Baikodo has been making Wasanbon for over 50 years.
